Burbage Primary School has been awarded a Silver Award from the Sainsbury’s School Games. This award scheme is aimed at acknowledging the work of individual schools in the promotion of PE and Sport. The award takes in to consideration the amount of PE that is taught within the curriculum, the amount of extra-curricular sport that is offered and taken up by the pupils and the amount of competitive sporting opportunities that are offered to the pupils during the year. It also promotes leadership for young people in sport.
This is the first time the school has applied for the award and are “over the moon” to be awarded at Silver.
