Great Bedwyn C of E School
Great Bedwyn School has a reputation for providing outstanding learning opportunities for all its pupils and for promoting a rich curriculum that enables pupils to grow and develop not just academically but physically, emotionally, spiritually and culturally too. Music, drama and art are particularly strong elements of our curriculum with many pupils performing in a variety of different ways across the school year. Developing an enthusiasm for physical activity is also encouraged with a wide variety of after school clubs available to get involved with. In addition, we are proud of our Forest School which enables pupils to value and enjoy outdoor learning opportunities on our site but also within the Savernake Forest.
We are a school in which children, staff, parents and governors work tirelessly to ensure the best possible opportunities for our pupils. Our caring ethos and Christian values permeate the school; evident in many different ways including: our pupils’ exemplary behaviour; our positive learning environment in which all learners are valued and respected; our strong, supportive teaching team; our buddy system which enables Year 6 pupils to support our new Reception pupils; and our community volunteers.
Great Bedwyn School is a happy, vibrant and creative learning community; committed to ensuring all children receive the highest quality learning experiences that will prepare them well for the future.
Together may we give our children
Roots to grow and wings to fly
