St Katharine’s C of E Primary School
We are proud of the warm and nurturing relationships that we foster amongst all stakeholders in our school community. Children are known as individuals; it is our aim not to pre-determine a child’s potential but to enable our children to see that effort, hard work and perseverance can take them further and help them to achieve more than they might have imagined. Children at St. Katharine’s begin their journey as a learner as they walk through our doors for the first time; developing the skills that they need to become independent and enquiring fully involved and responsible for their learning.
Our teaching and support staff work with energy and enthusiasm to plan a varied and creative curriculum, making meaningful links between subjects. This curriculum is taught maximising the opportunities offered by the incredible outdoor environment surrounding our school as well as employing innovative use of ICT and other engaging learning resources and teaching approaches.
Our aim is to instil a love of learning in the children at our school that they will take with them as they move on to their secondary schools. A thirst for learning that will last them for a lifetime.
