Ashton Park shines with poetry slam & receives an inspirational visitor
Ashton Park School is honoured and proud to share the winners of its very first ‘Ashton Park School Poetry Slam’, with Mr Bittles received over 60 entries of original work from Years 7 to 9! Mrs Tillett and Kat Lyons (a Bristol City poet) listened to the talented finalists recite their poems and gave feedback to each student – all of which were incredibly good.
After a long deliberation they announced that the winners are as follows –
Written pieces:
1st Place 400 points Tilly Apollo House
2nd Place 300 points Bea Athena House
3rd Place 200 points Reuben Achilles House
Poetry Slam:
1st Place 400 points Alice Apollo House
2nd Place 300 points Rudi and Lois Apollo House
3rd Place 200 points Bella and Maija Achilles & Athena Houses
Well done to everyone involved.
