Elodie cuts hair to make a wig & raise money for children with cancer

A big well done to Elodie in Year 3 at Cabot Primary School (pictured here with her parents), who bravely cut her hair in front of her school during an assembly, so that a wig could be made to help those children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other conditions. In addition, Elodie is raising a fantastic sum of money for this charity, The Little Princess Trust and would be grateful for any donations to boost her total:

Elodie has shown considerable courage and strength in relation to her own health, when undergoing gruelling medical treatment, including a bone marrow transplant. The support and encouragement she received from the NHS and charities made her determined to help other children going through similarly tough times.

Felicity Llewelyn-Hodgson, Principal of Cabot Primary School comments: “We are immensely proud of Elodie for her hair donation so that children who need it most can have the opportunity to boost their confidence and self-esteem by wearing a wig. Elodie has raised enough money to cover the cost of making a wig, but would love to see this total raise and with maybe even stretching to another. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help her on her way.”
