Dan the Skipping Man –

The children were delighted when ‘Dan the Skipping Man’ and his team of coaches visited Lambourn CofE Primary School. Dan and his team delivered skipping sessions to every class from Reception to Year 6 based on the concept of encouraging children to lead a healthy lifestyle and improve both their physical and mental health.

The coach led sessions highlighted the joy of skipping, as well as teaching the children new and innovative tricks. It was an incredibly fun and invigorating day! The school’s Mid-Day Supervisory Assistants (MDSAs) also received their own training session in how to support children at lunchtimes with their skipping skills and delivering Double Dutch skipping sessions.

Music Mark recognition –

Lambourn is proud to have received its certificate of recognition as a Music Mark School for 2022-2023. This prestigious certificate is in recognition of providing a high-quality music education for all its children and young people. The Music Lead, Kay Findlay submitted an application outlining its provision along with a copy of the Music action plan to be reviewed; from these documents it was awarded the Music Mark.
