The Ashton Park Family achieves great things
Ashton Park has had a busy term celebrating Black History Month, focusing on wellbeing, recognising student achievements and saying goodbye to its Chair of Governors after 11 years of dedicated service.
For Black History Month, the school held an art competition which included some incredible pieces in its gallery for judging! With such amazing talents on show, the school called for some expert outside judging from special guests Deputy Mayor of Bristol Asher Craig, Excalibur CEO Nicky Edmondson and Trustee Kieran Kelly. A big well done to all those who took part.

Thank you to Ashton Park’s Staff Hub for kindly raising over £1,000 for staff wellbeing projects, which were put to good use when staff enjoyed a special breakfast, setting them up for the day, courtesy of their donation.

Congratulations to Year 11 student Jemima, who has been forging what promises to be a fantastic career in football, playing in Bristol City Women’s Under 21 matches. The school looks forward to giving regular updates on Jemima as she embarks on her rosy career.

Finally Ashton Park would like to bid a fond farewell to Dr Sara Frears who is stepping down after 11 years of top quality service to Ashton Park School. Sara is an extraordinary individual who has dedicated her time to serve the school and its community.
Richard Uffendell, Headteacher of Ashton Park School summarises his feelings on what has been a hugely positive term: “As Mother Teresa once said ‘I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things’. This sums up our unique school. Collectively we are truly living our values of Respect, Determination and Community. We are showing that together, we can achieve great things and we all belong in our Ashton Park family.”
