HUNGERFORD students have been preparing for their dream careers

HUNGERFORD students have been preparing for their dream careers as pilots, engineers, doctors and dentists during a careers day.

Year 10 John O’ Gaunt students enjoyed a day of work experience preparation by creating their CV’s, filling an applications for jobs and being interviewed by local employers.

They also did team-building exercises, and other career-related skills.

The day was is in preparation for their Year 10 Work Experience where students go to local and national businesses for a week and experience the world of work.

JOG believes in encouraging students to dream really big and to pursue their dreams with enthusiasm and belief.

Head of ICT, Work Related Learning and Enterprise, Deborah Arden-Hunt said: “It was a wonderful day and employers were saying they would employ our students already.

“The feedback was extremely useful, both to students and to the employers and they were impressed by the calibre of the students, the intelligent use of questioning techniques and answers, and their polite and interested manner.”
