Excalibur Teaching School has completed its first year training School Direct PGCE students. Our Professional Tutor Justine Grace attended the graduation ceremony on 19 July 2018 at Bath Spa University to celebrate the students’ achievements. We are proud to confirm that all our students will be starting in their first teaching position in September, including two who begin their teaching career at St John’s. Additionally Victoria Bird, who was based at the Excalibur teaching school hub at Fairfield High School, completed her Biology PGCE with Bristol University, and will be starting her first teaching job in September.

In September 2018 a new cohort of students joins us. We are looking forward to welcoming a total of 16 new students; seven primary PGCE students, seven secondary students based at St John’s (Biology, Chemistry, Computing, DT, English, Maths and PE) and two secondary students based at Fairfield High School (Biology & RE).

Recruitment for PGCE training places for the 2019/20 year will commence in October 2018.
